Final Double Page Spread

The image above was my original 'final double page spread'. After showing people and asking for feedback, I decided to add an 'off-white' block coloured background, to make it a little less bright and easier to look at. I think it made the image look better aswell because the model is wearing a white top and it looks more defined against the coloured background.

Used Photos

These are the edited versions of the photos I used of my main model Esther in my magazine. I chose these photos because it included a range of shots such as a mid shot, a close up and a full length shot. They also incorporate a variety of camera angles including low angles and high angles. By using various different types of photos, my magazine will be more interesting and aesthetically pleasing.

Changing the Title

After creating the second draft of my magazine, I decided to change the name/masthead. Originally, it was called 'sound' as this was one of the names suggested on my survey, but I didn't think it sounded right as the name of a magazine.I still wanted something along the same lines and still something associated with music. In the end, I decided upon 'encore'. It is still to do with music, but sounds a lot better and is far more catchy.

Photoshoot

Unfortunatley, my friend (Lucy) had to cancel our second photoshoot last minute, so I could no longer use her as my main model. Instead, I arranged a photoshoot with another friend (Esther) and used her instead. I took all of my photos of esther for the front cover, double page spread and contents page in one day, and then just used the few photos I already had of Lucy on my contents page.
For this second photo with my new model, I decided to use a camera from school. This is because it produces photograpghs of far better quality than the camera I had used originally, but was still easy to use.
I took photos from various distances, angles and with different effects.
